Windows for Christmas!

Our windows came in yesterday. Noah was up until 2 am installing them in the twins room. Just wanted to post some pictures. It has seriously changed the look of our house like crazy. These are Marvin wood interior aluminum clad windows so they exude the charm of 1925 but without the noise from the street, gusts of cold air seeping through the gaps and condensation. These are double paned Low E II with argon insulating glass with simulated divide lites with wood on the inside, aluminum on the outside.

Progress

Progress is happening at our house. See that our porch light is in and the door bell is installed. Some of you may be asking yourselves why our mailbox looks like a horse. Well our from porch is falling apart and our mail-lady looks like she is too. She was constantly complaining that our porch was a hazard. So for now we have this ridiculous looking horsey mailbox.

Noah is working on the kids room. He is doing level 5 flat walls and he is so frustrated. He finally threw out the trowel and knife and used our paint sprayer to apply the mud... worked like a dream! Next step is to install the 4-1/2' wainscot with plate rail.

Very exciting news: we get our new windows in a couple weeks!
